What this product is designed to avoid

Labor Burden Calculator is built for planning labor burden estimates without collecting sensitive employee identity data. Do not enter Social Security numbers, payroll account numbers, bank details, health records, or other private employee records into calculator fields.

Local calculator drafts

When you use the calculator without logging in, draft inputs may be stored in this browser's local storage so the page can reopen with your latest assumptions. Local drafts are not account records and are not available from another browser or device.

Optional accounts and saved estimates

Accounts are optional: the calculator works without signing in. When you sign in and save an estimate, Labor Burden Calculator stores the estimate name, optional client or project labels, calculator inputs, formula assumptions, and calculated outputs in our database (hosted on Supabase), associated with your account, so you can reopen the estimate later. Your saved estimates are only readable by your account. Deleting an estimate removes it from the database.

Authentication is handled by Supabase Auth, using an email address and password or Google sign-in. The front end does not store passwords.

Your choices over your data

Every control described here is self-service on youraccount settings page; you do not need to email anyone to use them.

See and export your data

Account settings offers a one-click export that downloads a single JSON file containing your profile, every saved estimate with its inputs, assumptions and calculated results, and any feedback you have sent while signed in. Anonymous calculator drafts are never sent to our server, so they cannot appear in an export — they live only in the browser that created them.

Correct your data

You can change your display name, email address, and password from account settings at any time. Changing an email address requires confirmation at both the old and the new address.

Delete your account

Account settings can delete your account immediately and permanently. There is no grace period and no undo. Deletion removes your sign-in credentials, your profile, every estimate you have saved, and any feedback you submitted while signed in. Export your data first if you want to keep a copy. Anonymous feedback — sent without being signed in — is not linked to any account and therefore cannot be located or removed this way.

Deletion removes your data from our live database. Contact messages you sent through the contact form are stored separately against the email address you typed, rather than against your account; email us to have those removed too. Encrypted infrastructure backups may retain deleted records for a short period before they expire on their normal rotation.

Analytics and advertising providers are separate controllers with their own retention: seeGoogle's Privacy Policy to exercise choices with them directly.

Feedback

Feedback and contact messages you submit are sent to our database so the team can review them; a copy is also kept in this browser as a local backup. Do not include private payroll records or employee personal information in feedback.

Website analytics and advertising

Labor Burden Calculator uses Google Analytics to understand page visits and general usage. It may process information such as the page visited, browser and device details, referral source, and approximate location, and may use cookies or similar technologies. Usage is not linked to your account identifier or email address. Calculator inputs, saved-estimate contents, and feedback text are not intentionally sent to analytics tools.

Pages may also load Google AdSense, which can use cookies to serve and measure ads.

Regulatory assumptions

Tax, insurance, and labor rules vary by jurisdiction, year, employer, worker classification, and provider. Labor Burden Calculator should preserve source and effective-date metadata when regulatory defaults are added.
